We offer variety of workshops, which differ based on student's age groups. All of our workshops are fun and educational. Each workshop covers financial literacy and money management topics that are appropriate for specific age group. Our lessons include real life examples.  Children are encouraged to participate in various activities and games. They leave the workshop with better understanding of the financial world around them, and develop skills and knowledge to manage their personal well-being with more confidence. Our workshop lessons are aligned with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum requirements for math, language and social studies.

Before coming to your classroom we collaborate with the teacher and discuss the curriculum requirements that our program meets, and how they fit into the program that the teacher has developed for the class. Further, we obtain information about the classroom, children’s personalities, special needs students, etc… We have follow up discussions with the teachers after each unit, so that we can tweak our workshop to fit the requirements of the classroom in order to obtain the maximum benefit.

Financial Education Academy believes that parent involvement is instrumental in a child’s learning development. We also believe that education needs to be a joint effort between the school and the parents. That is why we provide parents an opportunity to be involved in financially educating their children. After each completed unit we provide a letter to a parent, which discusses what children have learned in class that day, and suggests further learning opportunities and activities that parents can undertake to teach their children the money management concepts, which were covered in class.  In addition, the parents have access to our website and blog, and we provide them with further references on educating children about money.
